Summer Stars Rock

Having had a few days to recover 😉 I can happily say that Summer Stars 2011 was our best Summer Stars yet and has certainly been my favourite.

For those that didn’t know, the theme was ROCK, and rock they certainly did.  It wasn’t your standard dance school playlist – we had Guns n Roses, the Rocky Theme and Britney Spears…everybody learnt seven, yes SEVEN brand new dances in just five days and the standard was phenomenal. I’m exceptionally proud of them and it was lovely to hear you feedback too including one Summer Star saying ‘I want to go every year until I’m a grown up’ which actually melted my heart.

We’re making a DVD of the show as we speak, but here’s a sneak preview of the Summer Stars dancing to LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ – watch for where the audience think it’s the end of the song only for the kids to show them that ‘everybody’s shuffling.’
